Newport Pier II
Introduction
A Phase I market and feasibility study has been conducted for Pier 2 located in Newport Rhode Island. The land associated with Pier 2 is approximately 20 acres. Pier 2 is 200-ft wide x 1,500-ft long, has seven berths and 125,000 square feet of building space on the surface. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, The United States Coast Guard, and Naval Station Newport are the current tenants. The site contains an existing 53,000 square foot vacant industrial warehouse building located to the south of Pier 2. Tank Farm 5 is approximately 72 acres parcel of land 1.5 miles to the north of Pier 2. The Navy currently has a firefighting training facility on an estimated 10 acres of the site.
