Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek Energy

Introduction

Introduction

A Phase I market and feasibility study has been conducted for an 8-acre site located on the southern perimeter of Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek in Virginia Beach, Virginia that could be made available for development under the U.S. Navy’s enhanced use lease (“EUL”) program. The site is located within the boundaries of Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, bounded by Shore Drive to the south, Amphibious Drive to the north, and a wastewater treatment plant to the east. The site has forested land and no known unexploded ordnance issues. Portions of the site lie within a floodplain. The site is located approximately 1.5 miles south of the Atlantic Ocean. The site’s qualities make it an attractive location for a renewable energy development.
